Company Overview:
Our client is an established Australian architecture and design practice delivering residential projects across Australia. Their in-house Australian design team completes the concept design, then hands the project over for full construction documentation. As their offshore team expands, they are looking for a highly capable, detail-driven Senior Architectural Documentation Specialist to take projects from concept handover through to a completed documentation package.
This role is ideal for someone who works independently, values accuracy, and has hands‑on experience with Australian architectural documentation standards and workflows.
This is a hands‑on construction documentation role, focused on producing complete, accurate documentation sets from concept handover with minimal supervision.
The Australian design team completes the concept design; this person takes ownership of the full construction documentation package.
The role is predominantly documentation production, requiring strong Revit proficiency and exceptional attention to detail, with the opportunity to grow into consultant coordination over time.
Producing full construction documentation packages in Revit
Completing documentation sets from concept design handed over by the Australian team
Ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Australian building standards
Reviewing completed documentation for accuracy before submission or client review
Maintaining organised, up‑to‑date project files and documentation records
Managing tasks and project progress using ClickUp
Supporting consultant coordination over time, including direct communication via phone and email
Accurate and timely production of full construction documentation sets
Working independently from concept handover through to completed documentation
Ensuring all documentation meets Australian building standards and project requirements
Minimising errors and rework through thorough self‑review
Following established systems, checklists, and project workflows
Escalating discrepancies or missing information proactively
Eventually taking ownership of consultant coordination (phone and email communication)
Revit
Project Management Software (ClickUp, Trello ETC)
AutoCAD (supporting/legacy drawings, where applicable)
Microsoft Office / email and communication tools
6+ years' experience in Architecture licensed architect, building designer, or architecture graduate
Strong hands‑on proficiency in Revit
Proven ability to complete a full documentation set with accuracy, from concept handover to finished package
Experience with Australian building standards
Tech savvy and confident using project management software
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to grow into consultant coordination
Experience preparing DA (Development Application), CC (Construction Certificate), and CDC (Complying Development Certificate) documentation
Experience coordinating consultants
Background supporting Australian residential architecture firms
Extremely high attention to detail
Clear and professional written and verbal communication
Reliable, consistent, and accountable
Able to work independently in a remote environment
Strong understanding of Australian architectural documentation standards and workflows
Confident taking ownership of a project with minimal supervision
Complete, accurate documentation packages with minimal corrections required
