Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Sr. Staff Applications Engineer to support HiRel analog products and new developments for the space market. You will characterize devices, document data sheets, and assist customers while collaborating with marketing, sales, and design teams.

The role requires strong analog/mixed-signal expertise, lab automation in Python, and experience with SPICE/IBIS modeling. Occasional travel for product demonstrations may be expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 7–10+ years in Applications and/or Systems Engineering in analog IC development or circuit design.
• Proficient in analog and mixed-signal design and lab troubleshooting.
• Experience with schematic/layout tools and switching power supply layouts.
• Experience with SPICE/IBIS modeling and Python for lab automation.

Responsibilities

• Device characterization and development documentation for datasheets and notes.
• Support customer needs and engage with FAE/Sales during visits or calls.
• Prepare validation plans and publish results from bench testing.
• Assist in new product definition with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Present at industry conventions as required.
