Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Manager, AI Solutions Tech Lead to drive hands-on technical leadership for AI products across international markets. You will orchestrate blended teams of internal engineers and external contractors, set engineering standards, and guide decisions from POC to MVP to enterprise-grade production.

The role requires deep expertise in data engineering, ML/AI, or backend development, with strong Python/SQL skills and cloud experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 7+ years of hands-on experience in AI, data, or software solution engineering.
Demonstrated technical leadership as a tech lead orchestrating teams of 10+ members including contractors.
Experience coordinating with external vendor or contractor teams with emphasis on delivery quality.
Deep expertise in at least one discipline (data engineering, data science/ML, AI engineering, or backend/full-stack) with working exposure across others.
Fluency in Python and proficiency in SQL; strong debugging and code review skills.
Experience in a cloud-based analytics ecosystem (AWS, Snowflake) and data tooling (Airflow, dbt).
Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps and CI/CD practices; ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

Act as hands-on tech lead for AI product delivery across blended teams; contribute through PRs and targeted feature development.
Set and enforce engineering standards, practices, and code hygiene across teams and contractors.
Drive technical decision-making with trade-off analysis and documented proposals to stakeholders.
Ensure end-to-end solution quality with thorough testing and release readiness across maturity stages.
Analyze complex system dependencies and prioritize technical debt remediation.
Guide implementation choices across data products, AI data products, and full-stack apps.
Coordinate delivery with external vendors and internal engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate with product owners and leadership; clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Stay current with agentic AI advances and foster a learning culture within the team.
