Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Senior Software Engineers for a fully remote hourly contract in the Philippines. You will design and scale AI infrastructure, collaborate across ML, research, and product teams, and deliver production-grade systems with autonomy.

You should bring 5+ years of software experience, strong skills in Python/TypeScript or similar languages, cloud familiarity, and a track record of building backend services at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Python, TS/JavaScript, Go or Java.
• Understanding of architecture, design patterns, and system design concepts.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, or data-intensive apps.
• Cloud exposure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerized environments.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and modern tooling.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities; works autonomously.
• Excellent written communication for async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade AI infra pipelines.
• Write clean, tested code in Python, TS, or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing speed and long-term maintainability.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and PMs.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well-scoped projects with ownership and autonomy.
