Job summary

Aptean is seeking an AI Implementation Engineer to design and deploy AI-native solutions that address strategic business problems for customers. You will work on Generative AI, RAG pipelines, and NLP tasks, collaborating with data engineers and business analysts to ensure measurable value delivery.

The role requires 4–6 years of experience in AI/ML, a bachelor’s in engineering (CS preferred), and a strong command of Python and enterprise data integration. A master’s degree is a plus.

Overview

About the role

You will join the ASCENT (AI Services for Continuous Enterprise Transformation) is an initiative from Aptean to ensure that our customers are able to leverage AI to address business problems that make a significant difference to their topline, and/or bottomline and/or customer satisfaction. This is a crack team of extremely skilled and motivated individuals who can quickly immerse themselves into the customer's business problem, understand their system landscapes, ideate creative solutions, deploy the solution at lightning speed and handhold the customer to ensure that they realize measurable value.

AI implementation engineers will design and implement AI-native solutions to solve business problems identified to be strategic for Aptean's customers. They will understand the business problem outlined by the customer and the Aptean business analyst, support solutioning process, implement the solution together with the data integration engineer and continuously monitor/update the solution to ensure that value is delivered despite changing environment at the customer.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deep proficiency in traditional ML techniques as well as Generative AI.
• Top notch proficiency in Python: Should be able to leverage Python for scripting, data processing, model development, and integration tasks throughout the AI solution lifecycle.
• Go-to-person in Generative AI, including frameworks like RAG, LangGraph & LangChain and related topics.
• Should have prior experience developing RAG pipelines, integrating enterprise data sources and managing vector database domains.
• Should be able to apply advanced NLP techniques (such as classification, entity extraction, summarization) and tailor models to business needs.
• Team worker: Should be able to articulate results of troubleshooting to data integration engineer and business analyst to aid communication to customer as well as extraction of additional data points to rectify the problem.
• Should have built and deployed traditional machine learning models using a variety of algorithms. Experience with use cases in supply chain like forecasting, inventory reconciliation etc. will be a strong plus.
• Experience with linear or mixed-integer optimization will be a strong plus.
