Job summary

Global Finance Teams in the Philippines seeks a senior engineer to oversee technical delivery with AI-assisted tooling. You will ensure specifications, guardrails, and acceptance criteria guide implementations; you will decide on scope and work directly with team and customers.

This role emphasizes design judgment, process improvements, and ownership of features from spec to production, with a focus on reliability and cost.

Qualifications

Eight or more years building and operating web services, or senior-level ownership.
Depth in at least one dynamic language; Python preferred.
Experience in relational databases: design, performance, migration, troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

For any work, with LLM and human review as appropriate at each step.
Think it through interactively: options, trade-offs, what could go wrong.
Write the specification: acceptance criteria, out-of-scope list, telemetry, non-functional requirements.
Implement: include an acceptance script that checks criteria and emits telemetry.
Ship and observe: run acceptance script, fix what's needed, monitor production for defects.
Learn: guardrails hit, costs, and future permanent checks.
Ramp and What Success Looks Like: start with small improvements, grow to feature work.
Mastery: own larger features, author specs, improve tooling.
Signs of success after three months: specs built with minimal rework, proactive reviews.
