Job summary

Manulife Insurance Malaysia is seeking an Actuarial Senior Manager to lead the Asia Valuation Shared Services team within our MGS Actuarial Function. You will develop, validate and implement model changes, oversee quarterly controls, and guide a team of actuaries in delivering valuation, liability and asset modelling insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
• Associate designation (SOA, ASP) with progress toward Fellowship.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, SQL, QlikView, Python or similar.
• Ability to apply actuarial concepts to model and analyze financial metrics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across organization levels.
• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
• Amenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City).
• Amenable to a hybrid setup (3x a week onsite).

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate and implement model changes into production models per guidelines.
• Monitor quarterly controls, reserve movement analysis and upstream report validation.
• Lead and develop a team of actuarial staff ensuring high-quality work.
• Provide documentation and training to team members.
• Support country business units on projects like Economic Capital and Basis Changes.
• Identify and implement improvements to VSSC tools, processes and framework.
