Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to ensure accurate presentation, completeness, and timely submission of credit card transaction reports to regulatory agencies and internal/external users.

You will supervise bookkeeping, reconciliation, monitoring, and reporting of selected GL accounts arising from card activities. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (CPA a plus), 5+ years in accounting with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy is required; CPA license is an advantage.
At least 5 years of solid accounting experience, including financial reporting, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficient in Oracle or similar accounting systems; Power BI/Power Query experience.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to guide and motivate a team.
Preferably with experience in credit card, banking, or financial services.
Willing to work onsite in Makati.

Responsibilities

Check the reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness of data and balances vs supporting documents and trial balance.
Submit verified reports to Section Head for review and approval to certify propriety.
Check the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the daily accounting journal entries of assigned GL accounts to provide an updated book of accounts.
