Overview

Senior Accountant (AU/PH) — 3-Month Contract | Cavite-Based (Onsite Preferred)

Location: Cavite (onsite required for handover; hybrid optional after training)

Contract: 3 months (extendable or convertible to ongoing project-based role)

Compensation: Fully Dependent on AU experience, ERP, Power BI, or SQL proficiency - Qualifications and CPA Status will not topple demonstrated Experience

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Accountant for immediate start to support our Australian construction client while assisting with local PH compliance and systems improvement. You’ll work directly with an Australian-qualified accountant during an intensive onsite handover in Cavite. The goal: ensure seamless continuity for the client and build a foundation for long-term accounting and automation capabilities inside our firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lodge Australian BAS & IAS statements
  • Perform Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations with variance analysis
  • Manage AP inboxes, cash flow, and journal entries
  • Handle PH payroll and BIR filings where required
  • Contribute to ERP migration and process improvement projects
  • Support automation/reporting initiatives using Power BI, SQL, or low-code tools
  • Develop internal documentation and Xero training materials
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, with minimum 4 years handling AU clients
  • Strong knowledge of BAS/IAS, month-end, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Xero (2+ years minimum)
  • Experience in Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems an advantage
  • Bonus: Exposure to Power BI / SQL / API automation tools
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Cavite-based or willing to work onsite for the handover period
  • Must be able to work independently and hit the ground running — no handholding
