The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of cash accounting and related financial reporting activities. The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations. They are responsible for working with the Team Leader to manage and motivate the team to achieve organizational goals, ensuring the accuracy and quality of work. The role is also involved with training team members. Possessing excellent leadership skills, strong accounting background, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic environment.

Job Description

• Oversee and manage all aspects of cash accounting, including cash transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Review and verify the accuracy of accounting entries related to cash management.
• Work closely with the Team Leader to manage the finance team, ensuring the team meets organizational goals and deadlines.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior accountants and support staff, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work.
• Actively participate in training new team members and providing ongoing development to existing staff.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with Acumatica or MYOB Advanced ERP (preferably Acumatica, with training available)
• Proficiency in Excel (including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis)
• Knowledge of accrual accounting, bank reconciliation, month-end close process, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury management
• Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
