Job summary

Sourcefit is seeking a remote Billing & Accounting Lead to oversee franchise billing across multiple portfolios. You will manage revenue-related journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations while driving process improvements within deadlines.

The role requires 3+ years in billing or revenue accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. You will coordinate with Franchise AR, legal for contract interpretation, and stakeholders in a US ET work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of billing or revenue accounting with recurring billing experience.
• Experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and Excel for billing and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of recurring billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly franchise billing invoices per contract terms and schedules.
• Review billing allocations, GL coding, and input distributions.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, month-end adjustments and reconciliations.
• Support billing inquiries and accounting research with Franchise AR.
• Assist with multi-entity or international billing workflows as assigned.
• Maintain billing templates, workbooks and master docs for contract changes.
• Support controls, audits and monthly reporting for assigned franchises.
• Contribute to standardization and process improvements in billing.
• Attend monthly onboard meetings to review billing changes with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team and legal on contract language and interpretation.

Position Summary

Lead and oversee franchise billing and accounting activities across multiple property portfolios, with responsibility for revenue-related journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining billing allocations and codes, and continuous process improvements within assigned deadlines.

Shift/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time

Responsibilities

• Review monthly franchise billing invoices in accordance with contract terms, amendments and assigned billing schedules.
• Review billing allocations, general ledger coding, franchise invoicing inputs and associated distributions.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, accruals, month-end adjustments and related balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support franchise billing inquiries, accounting research, aging review and coordination with Franchise AR.
• Assist with multi-entity or international billing workflows, where assigned, ensuring transactions match contractual requirements.
• Maintain organized billing templates, workbooks and master documentation for contract changes, codes and invoice updates.
• Support internal controls, audit requests, accounting analysis and monthly reporting for assigned franchises.
• Participate in standardization and billing-process improvements and provide informal technical guidance to colleagues as needed.
• Attend monthly onboard meetings with stakeholders withing the organization to review current month’s billing changes and requirements.
• Maintain communication and collaboration with team members and applicable stakeholders including legal for contract language and interpretation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined experience in billing, revenue accounting or general accounting with recurring billing responsibility.
• Experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and accounting/reporting workpapers.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and strong Microsoft application experience including Excel skills for billing, financial analysis and large datasets.
• Strong attention to detail, critical forward thinking, contract interpretation, communication and ownership of recurring billing processes.

Nice to Have

• Accounting degree with three or more years of high-volume, multi-entity or franchise-agreement billing experience.
• At least 2 years of corporate general accounting and financial reporting in a multi-entity business.
• Familiarity with Yardi or a comparable accounting system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Power BI, franchise revenue allocations, and multi-brand or international billing.
• Experience performing month-over-month financial analysis, identifying trends and variances, and investigating significant fluctuations.
