Job summary

Exact Star Subic Bay Corporation in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and handle treasury, month-end close, GL, revenue, inventory, AR, and reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on ERP experience to drive timely and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with an ERP or accounting system.
• Detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily and monthly cash activity across operating, deposit, credit card, and other treasury accounts.
• Prepare treasury-related journal entries, including bank fees, interest, transfers, merchant activity, and other cash transactions.
• Investigate and resolve bank reconciliation differences, unreconciled transactions, and cash application issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain supporting schedules for cash, debt, credit card, and other treasury-related accounts.
• Own assigned month-end close activities and prepare journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Investigate account variances and resolve outstanding items before close deadlines.
• Analyze financial results and account fluctuations to identify unusual activity.
• Maintain complete and review-ready close workpapers and follow established accounting policies and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows.
