Job summary

eClerx is seeking a Senior Accountant in Metro Manila to lead month-end close, ensure accuracy of financial records, and prepare formal financial statements. You will handle accruals, reconciliations, payroll entries, and analyses to support reporting and audits.

Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, AR and AP teams, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in full-cycle or general accounting.
• Strong experience with month-end and year-end closing.
• Hands-on experience with accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, payroll accounting, and GL activities.
• Experience preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and calculate monthly accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjusting entries.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate items.
• Prepare and post journal entries for payroll and other transactions.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and verify transactions.
• Identify discrepancies and accounting issues.
• Maintain accurate GL records in line with standards and company policies.
• Prepare supporting schedules and analyses for reports and audits.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Assist audits with schedules and documentation.
• Suggest improvements to accounting processes and controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, AR, AP to resolve issues.
