ECLARO in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the insurance finance team. The role supports all accounting activities for insurance segments and advances GAAP and STAT reporting.

You will design and execute controls, drive process improvements, and assist with a new ceded system implementation, while maintaining a strong control environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of ceded reinsurance experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with NAIC Annual Statement Software and Gain Compliance is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist monthly and quarterly ceded reinsurance results and analyses for internal and external reporting.
• Prepare detailed journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual Schedule F exhibits for the Company's NAIC and regulatory filings.
• Oversee treaty, FAC, and proportional calculations, entries, billing, receipts, and disbursements.
• Manage the calculation, booking, billing, and collection of all ceded payable and recoverable including profit and sliding scale commissions.
• Lead and support ad hoc reporting and special projects.
• Assist in the ongoing implementation of a new ceded system.
• Drive continuous improvement in the reinsurance accounting cycle to improve close cycles, controls, and understanding.
• Maintain a strong control environment and associated documentation.

The Senior Accountant is a member of the insurance finance team. This position will assist with all accounting activities for the Company's insurance segments. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will assist with GAAP and STAT reporting responsibilities, design and execution of the control framework, and tactical process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Assist with monthly and quarterly ceded reinsurance results and analyses for internal and external reporting.
• Preparation and review of detailed journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual Schedule F exhibits for the Company's NAIC as well any additional regulatory filings.
• Oversee treaty, FAC, and proportional calculations, entries, billing, receipts, and disbursements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Over 3 years of experience in ceded reinsurance.
• Knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with NAIC Annual Statement Software and Gain Compliance is a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Oracle a plus.
• Familiarity with ceded reinsurance software
• Strong organizational abilities and the capability to multitask and reprioritize as needed.
