Job summary

A staffing solutions company is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting and compliance in Cebu City. This role requires a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a supervisory position. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting external audits. Upon regularization, benefits include vacation and sick leave as well as health insurance after the fourth month.

• Background in Financial, Management Reporting and General Ledger Accounting
• Knowledgeable about government statutory compliance and reporting
• Knowledgeable with payroll processing

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports).
• Handle tax compliance, including VAT, EWT, and income tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submission to the BIR.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Ensure compliance with PFRS and government regulations.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
• Work with other departments to provide financial insights and reports.
