Job summary

The Senior Accountant at Energy Development Corporation is responsible for the timely preparation and fair presentation of interim and annual financial statements, plus regulatory reports, for assigned entities in accordance with PAS and PFRS.

You will deliver insightful management reports with variance analyses, support external audits, and leverage SAP ECC and SAP BPC to improve reporting accuracy and control.

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy required with CPA credential.
• Minimum of two years' experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficient in SAP ECC and SAP BPC; strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of PAS and PFRS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly entity closing process, account reviews, and generation of financial statements with notes in SAP per PAS and PFRS standards.
• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual external regulatory reports to agencies (SEC, DOE, BIR, and financial institutions).
• Analyze and deliver monthly management reports with variance analyses for revenue, expenses, and ratios vs budgets.
• Coordinate with external auditors (SGV & Co., DOE), internal auditors, and regulators for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Monitor RPA/bot runs, maintain historical financial databases, and utilize SAP ECC and SAP BPC to enhance reporting accuracy and control.

Job description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the timely preparation and fair presentation of interim, annual, and regulatory financial statements for assigned non-geothermal and non-operating entities in accordance with PAS and PFRS. This role delivers accurate management reporting with insightful variance analysis, supports audit compliance with external bodies, and leverages SAP functional support to drive operational and financial efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly entity closing process, account reviews, and generation of financial statements with accompanying notes within SAP in compliance with PAS and PFRS standards.

• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual external regulatory reports to key agencies, including the SEC, DOE, BIR, and financial institutions, ensuring zero compliance penalties.

• Analyze and deliver monthly management reports, financial highlights, and detailed variance analyses for revenue, operating expenses, and financial ratios against prior performance and approved budgets.

• Coordinate directly with external auditors (SGV & Co., DOE), internal auditors, and regulators to ensure seamless completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits.

• Monitor RPA/bot runs, maintain historical financial databases, and utilize SAP ECC and SAP BPC modules to enhance financial reporting accuracy and process control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of dedicated experience in accounting and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and hands-on experience with SAP ECC and SAP BPC software
