Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to take charge of general ledger functions, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and support compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is suited for professionals with extensive experience in PEZA manufacturing, accounting systems like SAP, and general accounting processes. The Senior Accountant will also be involved in audit support and continuous process improvement efforts.

Your Responsibilities:

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using SAP.

• Handle monthly and yearly financial closings (FI-GL).

• Prepare and post journal entries (both manual and recurring) with proper documentation.

• Ensure financial records align with IFRS/GAAP standards.

Fixed Assets and Accruals:

• Coordinate with the Fixed Asset team for depreciation and asset entries.

• Record necessary accruals, provisions, and prepayments during closing periods.

• Provide financial reports as needed by site users.

Account Reconciliation:

• Conduct timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies efficiently.

Audit and Compliance Support:

• Assist in internal and external audit preparations.

• Ensure adherence to SOX requirements, corporate policies, and internal guidelines.

Process Improvement:

• Contribute to process automation and standardization efforts.

• Recommend and implement improvements to streamline accounting tasks.

Regulatory Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with local government requirements including PEZA and BIR reporting.

What our Client is Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.

• At least 7 years of experience in general accounting and financial reporting.

• Strong background in PEZA-compliant manufacturing operations.

• In-depth understanding of BIR and other regulatory compliance.

• Previous experience in a shared services environment is preferred.

• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
