Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment onsite in the Philippines.

You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, calibrate and align equipment, and maintain records while following cleanroom and EHS protocols to ensure high uptime and yield. Collaborate with engineers and production teams, implement reliability improvements, and participate in installation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or equivalents with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a semiconductor environment.
• Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with cleanroom standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
• Conduct equipment set-up, calibration, and alignment according to operational specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Follow EHS and cleanroom protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and tools.
• Coordinate with engineers and production teams to ensure equipment readiness and yield performance.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest reliability upgrades.
