Job summary

UnionBank is seeking a Security Architect to define and strengthen the Bank’s information security architecture. Based at UB Plaza, Pasig, you will review solutions, implement controls, and ensure cloud, apps, and infrastructure stay protected against evolving threats.

You will design security solutions across infrastructure, applications, and software development processes, assess risk, and collaborate with business units and engineering teams to embed security across platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
• Experience across cloud, application, and infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with secure software development practices.
• Ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Security Architect who will help define, design, and strengthen the Bank’s information security architecture. This role is responsible for reviewing technology solutions, implementing security controls, and ensuring that infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments remain protected against evolving cyber threats.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement security solutions across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and software development processes to protect organizational assets and data.
• Assess systems and technology architectures, identifying risks and recommending security controls to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or loss of information.
• Collaborate with business units, enterprise architects, engineering teams, and security stakeholders to ensure security requirements are embedded across all technology platforms.
• Research emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices to enhance the Bank’s cybersecurity posture and information security strategy.
• Maintain security architecture documentation, support solution architects on security-related matters, and manage security technologies required for business and project initiatives.
