Position Title: Security Architect

Job Summary:

The Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the bank’s security infrastructure. He is responsible for assessing current security measures, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. The role involves staying updated on the latest security technologies and best practices, collaborating with other Technology Teams, and providing guidance on security policies and procedures. A combination of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the bank are essential for this position.

Role Exposure:

  • Security Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the overall security architecture framework of the bank, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within the bank's systems and infrastructure.
  • Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect against cyber threats, data breaches, and mitigate security risks.
  • Security Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and solutions to enhance the bank's security posture.
  • Security Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices such as GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, etc. Monitor security controls and measures to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
  • Incident Response Planning: Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to effectively respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Security Awareness Training: Provide security training and awareness programs to educate employees about cybersecurity risks and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all aspects of the bank's operations.
  • Security Governance: Establish and maintain security governance processes to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of security controls and measures.
  • Security Monitoring and Reporting: Implement security monitoring tools and processes to continuously monitor the organization's systems and networks for suspicious activities, and provide regular reports to management on security metrics and trends.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure the security of outsourced systems and services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and trends, and continually assess and improve the organization's security posture.

Qualifications:

  • Application Security experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, architecture, and/or security-related roles.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in banking, credit cards, investments, loans, remittance, or trade are preferred.
