Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic and persuasive Sales Promotion Clerk to join our furniture retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, responsible for driving sales through active engagement, product demonstrations, and highlighting current promotional offers. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming showroom environment and helping customers find the perfect pieces for their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly as they enter the showroom and proactively identify their needs and preferences.
• Promotional Advocacy: Enthusiastically communicate current sales, financing options, and special "deal of the day" promotions to maximize conversion rates.
• Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of our furniture inventory, including materials (fabrics, woods, metals), dimensions, and assembly requirements.
• Sales Closing: Assist customers through the entire buying process, from selection to final transaction, ensuring all paperwork and delivery details are accurate.
• Showroom Maintenance: Ensure floor models are clean, properly tagged with pricing/promo labels, and arranged according to visual merchandising standards.
• Lead Generation: Collect customer contact information for follow-up marketing and maintain a pipeline of potential future sales.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in retail sales, promotion, or customer service (furniture experience is a plus).
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the showroom floor.
