Role Overview

The Field Sales Operations Head is responsible for driving the strategic execution and operational excellence of field sales activities. This role leads the planning, deployment, and tracking of field initiatives, ensuring alignment with national targets and seamless execution across channels. The ideal candidate is data-driven, collaborative, and passionate about building high performing teams that support sales growth and market execution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Field Strategy & Execution:
    • Translate national strategies into actionable field execution plans.
    • Lead implementation of route-to-market programs, bundling initiatives, account-specific strategies, and new product launches.
    • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure flawless execution.
  2. Team Leadership & Capability Building:
    • Manage a lean team of direct reports with the vision to grow into a robust, high-performing unit.
    • Train and mentor team members to drive a culture of performance and accountability.
    • Partner with the People team to build capabilities and address manning requirements.
  3. Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee route planning and merchandising deployment strategies.
    • Monitor and manage operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with national goals.
    • Continuously improve field processes through data-driven decision-making.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to execute trade promotions and activations.
    • Coordinate with Logistics to ensure timely product availability and replenishment.
    • Interface with Finance for forecasting, incentive design, budget planning, and ROI measurement.
Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable in field sales operations, route planning, and merchandising deployment
  • Strong understanding of trade marketing, route-to-market strategies, and operational KPIs
  • Skilled in project management, data analysis, and performance tracking
  • Effective in cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, supply chain, logistics, finance, and HR
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Familiar with budgeting, forecasting, and ROI measurement
