Job summary

NWU is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to promote health and safety on construction sites and ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies. The role involves developing and updating safety programs, handling incident data, and driving fire safety training.

Candidate should have COSH training, 2+ years OSH experience, AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency, and a Civil Engineering degree. Willing to be stationed in Binan, Laguna; strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Promote health and maintain a safe working environment on the project site.
• Oversee project site activities to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and company policies.
• Create, enact, and update job safety programs aligned with government and company standards.
• Maintain injury/illness mishap data, analyze reports, and initiate actions to improve safety programs.
• Implement preventative measures and maintain building safety standards.
• Create and implement safety policies and training in fire safety procedures.
• Facilitate compliance with COSH guidelines.
• Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations.

Responsible for promoting health and safety compliance on project sites for a leading sustainable real estate developer.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Promoting positive health and maintaining a safe working environment on the project site
• Overseeing project site activities to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and company policies
• Creating, enacting, and updating job safety programs aligned with government and company standards
• Maintaining injury/illness mishap data, analyzing reports, and initiating actions to improve safety programs
• Implementing preventative measures and maintaining building safety standards
• Creating and implementing safety policies and training in fire safety procedures
• Facilitating compliance with construction occupational health and safety (COSH) guidelines
• Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations

About You

The company is looking for:

• Construction background with moderate experience in vertical developments (mid-high rise buildings)
• COSH Training
• 48 hours advanced/specialized training (LCM, SPA, TOT, IH, Fire Safety)
• Minimum 2 years experience in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to be assigned in Binan, Laguna
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Accredited DOLE OSH Practitioner is an advantage but not required
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering
