Job summary

Megawide Construction Corporation in Cebu City is seeking a Safety Officer to support the Project Management Team in ensuring compliance with the HS&E policy and applicable regulations.

You will assist in preparing the Construction Safety and Health Program, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and compile HSE statistics for DOLE reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4-year course.
• with COSH training.
• At least 2 years' experience in safety especially in construction industry.
• Willing to work in Cebu City.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the preparation of the Construction Safety and Health Program and assists in the submission to the DOLE Regional Office for approval.
• Updates all employees in the project on the current HSE legal requirements and ensure its implementation.
• Conducts regular HSE inspection / audit in all areas of the project to identify and mitigate the hazards.
• Initiates investigation for all incidents / accidents at site and identifies the root cause to come-up with an effective and appropriate actions.
• Gathers all HSE related statistics and reflect the project's HSE performance. Prepares and submits all required reports to the DOLE Regional Office.
