Job Summary

The Site Officer 2 (SO2) supports the day-to-day operations and administration of a solar project site, ensuring smooth coordination between site personnel, contractors, and head office teams. The role includes monitoring site activities, facilitating logistics and documentation, supporting compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, and assisting in reporting and communication tasks. SO2 plays a key role in tracking site-level resources, supporting procurement and inventory management, and ensuring that site operations are aligned with project timelines and company standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Site Coordination: Assist in coordinating daily site activities, including workforce movements, contractor schedules, and logistical requirements
  • Administrative Support: Manage site documentation, including attendance records, delivery receipts, permits, and compliance reports
  • Closely monitors site activities on a daily basis issuing non-compliance and reports where necessary and informing the Project Manager
  • Procurement and Inventory: Support tracking of site materials, supplies, and equipment; coordinate with procurement teams for timely replenishment
  • Prepares detailed HSE inputs to meet contract requirement
  • Reviews the contract documents for each construction package in respect of safety requirements and procedures and advises the Project Manager of any deficiency
  • Regulatory and Safety Compliance: Help ensure that site operations adhere to health, safety, environmental, and local regulatory requirements
  • Ensures that the Contractor’s safety Training for site Laborers is regularly maintained
  • Ensures contractor’s laborers on site are following safety procedures and reports to Project Manager in case of deficiency
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular updates on site activities, progress, and issues to project management and head office teams
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for site-level coordination with contractors, vendors, and community representatives
  • Ensure that the main contractor’s EHS plan is being implemented and report all non-conformance to the safety Logistical Support: Facilitate movement of personnel, materials, and equipment to and from the site as needed for project continuity
  • Problem Solving: Identify and escalate site-level concerns or disruptions and assist in implementing corrective actions
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or required, including transferring to another project assignment if necessary

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Others), Nursing, Others or equivalent
  • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs. & up Experienced Employee specialized in Engineering -Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent
  • Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs. & up Experienced Employee specialized in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent
