Job summary

AECOM Philippines, Inc. is seeking an Intercompany Billing Accountant to handle intercompany invoicing and balance sheet reconciliations in line with GAAP and internal controls.

The role involves processing manual intercompany bills, reviewing supporting documentation, and resolving disputes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and maintaining SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• 3–4 years of relevant finance/accounting experience
• Proficient in MS Office tools
• Understanding of accounting standards and internal controls
• ERP experience with Oracle or BlackLine is a plus

Responsibilities

• Gather and review required documentation for intercompany invoices
• Process intercompany manual billing for the assigned business group
• Validate disputes by reviewing records and supporting docs for accuracy
• Assist in aging item resolution and reconciliations
• Ensure receivables are collected within prescribed periods
• Prepare simple intercompany balance sheet reconciliations and reports
• Support month-end closing and reporting activities
• Escalate issues to Team Lead for timely resolution
• Maintain current SOP/DTP and update documentation as required
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows

Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for performing intercompany billing transactions and processes in compliance to generally accepted accounting principles, finance policies and internal controls.

• Gather and review required back up documentation for manual intercompany invoices.
• Process intercompany manual billing of the assigned business group.
• Validate disputes raised by checking the record and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Recommend resolution for aged items.
• Ensure intercompany receivables are collected within the period prescribed.
• Address reconciliation issues and queries of assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Prepares simple intercompany balance sheet reconciliations and periodic financial reports.
• Perform month-end book closing and reporting management within the assigned sub-process.
• Escalate and analyze identified issues and concerns to the Team Lead for timely resolution.
• Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
• Perform simple but varied tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.
• Assess identified issues and collate documentation to assist in investigating and in resolving common and recurring issues.
• Support selected simple process improvement initiatives to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses
• 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
• Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls.
• Experience working with ERP, e.i., Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage, but is not required
