Job summary

XDOF is seeking a Robotics Platform Engineer to create the product and infrastructure for deploying and evaluating learned robot policies on real hardware. You will contribute to getting VLAs and imitation learning models onto embodied systems, develop evaluation frameworks, and ship surfaces that make deployments accessible to partners.

The role combines robotics, ML deployment, and production-grade software engineering in a fast-paced startup environment in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
• 3+ years of industry software engineering experience, with exposure to robotics or ML deployment.
• Strong Python skills and Linux environment comfort.
• Experience deploying ML models to real systems, not just training them.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and reproducible deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deploy learned robot policies (VLAs, imitation learning, DAgger) on real hardware, including inference setup and on-robot tuning.
• Design and build evaluation frameworks that benchmark policy performance on physical robots.
• Build product surfaces to configure, launch, and monitor evaluation runs and model deployments.
• Build orchestration systems to schedule evaluation runs and deployments across robot stations.
• Integrate LLMs and foundation models into robot workflows for task specification and high-level planning.
