Job summary

XDOF is seeking a Robotics Controls Engineer in the Philippines to build high-performance control systems for dexterous manipulators and humanoid robots. You will ensure safe, precise, and repeatable motion across teleoperation, collection runs, and downstream models.

You will work on joint-space and Cartesian impedance/torque control, whole-body control, and optimization-based strategies, collaborating with hardware and data teams to diagnose and improve controller performance in real hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in robotics, mechanical/electrical engineering, CS, or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in robot dynamics, kinematics, and feedback control.
• Hands-on experience implementing controllers on real robotic systems, not just in simulation.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python with comfort in real-time robotics systems.

Responsibilities

• Implementing joint-space and Cartesian impedance/torque control for 7+ DoF robotic arms.
• Building whole-body control for humanoids with mobile bases and actuated torsos.
• Designing optimization-based controllers: QP, inverse dynamics, task/null-space control.
