Job summary

Nomura Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Analyst/Associate in the Risk Management Division. The role focuses on Counterparty Credit Risk, requiring 5 to 8 years of business analysis and project management experience. You will collaborate with Risk, Technology, Operations and Compliance to deliver complex risk projects across regions.

You will manage requirements, specifications, data flows and testing activities while ensuring governance and timely delivery within a global framework.

Qualifications

• Business Analyst with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the Risk domain, particularly Counterparty Credit Risk.
• Experience as a business analyst and project manager in Credit Risk Change projects with regional stakeholders.
• Ability to plan milestones, manage test processes, and prepare governance artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis and project management activities for risk-related change initiatives.
• Gather requirements, design solutions, and coordinate with Risk, Technology, Operations and Compliance teams.
• Develop business and functional specifications, data matrices and workflow diagrams.
• Oversee test management including test strategy, UAT, and rollout plans.
• Provide weekly and monthly project updates, flag risks, and mitigate issues.

Division Overview

The Risk Management Division encompasses the firm's comprehensive risk framework responsible for determining and managing the overall risk appetite for the firm. The division is responsible for effectively managing the firm's risk-return profile which ensures the efficient deployment of the firm's capital. It is one of the firm's core competencies and is independent of the trading areas and operational areas.

Business Unit Overview

• Requirements gathering, testing and documentation for regulatory compliance and transformational risk management initiatives.
• Analyse complex risk data flows, calculation engines, and reporting processes to identify gaps and architect robust solutions aligned with enterprise risk appetite.
• Execute projects in adherence with the Nomura governance standards delivering well defined business outcomes.
• cross-functional collaboration between Risk, Technology, Operations, and Compliance teams while gathering business requirement & functional requirement.
• Translating business requirements into technical specifications for risk platforms, coordinate system integrations with stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities

• Business Analyst with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the Risk domain, particularly Counterparty Credit Risk.
• Working as a business analyst and project manager in Credit Risk Change projects in International Change and work with local and regional stakeholders to deliver on the project book of work.
• Independently manage medium to large projects through the lifecycle and prepare business analysis documents proficiently (business requirement documents, functional specifications, data matrix, workflow diagrams etc.)
• Run test management processes for medium to large scale projects (Test Strategy/Approach documentation, managing User Acceptance Testing, building test plans and test scenarios, building implementation plans.)
• Ability to plan the project delivery milestones (L0/L1 planning) and prepare project reports (weekly project update, monthly status update, highlighting risks, issues and their mitigation steps)
• Assist stakeholder businesses with their tactical/strategic solution requirements, services and/or program.
• Must be able to work with Technology, Risk Management, Risk Middle Office, and Front Office to identify and maximize opportunities that help in delivery of projects and to improve product, service and program business processes.
• Must have the ability to work with a team, learn and train people on various subjects, structure the project governance model and work together with regional counterparts to devise induction framework for all the resources entering the project.
