The Revenue & Compliance Accountant is responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of revenue recording, collections monitoring, accounts receivable management, bank deposits, bank reconciliations, and tax compliance reporting. The role supports revenue integrity, regulatory compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
A. Revenue Accounting and Monitoring
- Record daily revenues from laboratory, diagnostic, and related services.
- Reconcile laboratory request forms, invoices, official receipts, and collection reports.
- Validate completeness of revenue transactions.
- Investigate discrepancies between services rendered and revenues recorded.
- Maintain revenue schedules and supporting documents.
B. Accounts Receivable Management
- Monitor patient, corporate, and HMO receivables.
- Prepare AR aging reports.
- Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and balances.
C. Collection and Deposit Administration
- Record cash receipts and collection transactions.
- Prepare daily collection summaries.
- Prepare and monitor bank deposits.
- Reconcile collections against deposit slips and bank credits.
- Investigate collection variances and reconciling items.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding deposits and unreconciled items.
- Coordinate the resolution of reconciling items with concerned parties.
E. Tax Compliance
- Prepare VAT returns and supporting schedules.
- Prepare Quarterly and Annual Income Tax Returns.
- Prepare and submit SAWT schedules.
- Perform eFPS filings and compliance submissions.
- Maintain tax filing schedules and supporting documentation.
E. Month-End Closing Support
- Prepare revenue accruals.
- Prepare AR schedules and reconciliations.
- Prepare revenue-related supporting schedules for financial closing.
- Assist in external and internal audit requirements.
Qualifications
1. Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience in revenue accounting and tax compliance preferred
- Experience in eFPS filing is highly preferred
- Experience in receivables management is an advantage
2. Educational Attainment:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
