Job summary

Empower is seeking an Implementation Consultant to support the successful installation and startup of standard retirement plan services. You will act as the primary liaison during conversion, coordinating with plan sponsors, financial advisors and TPAs to ensure smooth transitions.

You will manage communications, document reviews, and timing, while working with internal teams to meet deadlines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in a dynamic client-facing role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years Implementation or related work experience.
• Proficient knowledge of IRS codes; 457, 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), etc.
• Proficient knowledge of IRS/DOL reporting knowledge.
• Proficient regulatory compliance and plan document knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Moderate level of autonomy and decision making, escalating high-impact decisions to management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful installation of standard/non-complex new transfer or start-up retirement plan sales.
• Acts as the primary contact for Empower during the conversion process.
• Lead weekly conference calls with clients and internal teams to coordinate timing and tasks.
• Discuss service agreements and product features with plan sponsors and advisors for understanding.
• Review plan provisions with plans electing internal compliance services.
• Coordinate payroll file integration with plan sponsor to Empower.
• Facilitate transfer of plan assets and records with prior providers and internal departments.
• Maintain deadlines and timelines for transfer/start-up activity.
• Produce quality work through QA measures and minimize market risks.
• Ensure smooth transition from blackout period to ongoing client service management.
• Work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
