Job summary

Empower is seeking a Conversion Consultant to oversee the successful installation of non-complex retirement plan sales and act as a key contact during conversions. You will coordinate with plan sponsors, financial advisors, and TPAs, while managing timelines and regulatory compliance.

Under moderate supervision, you will lead conversations on service agreements, map payroll data, and ensure accurate restatements of documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years Implementation or related work.
• Proficient knowledge of IRS codes: 457, 401(k), 403(b), 401(a).
• Proficient knowledge of IRS/DOL reporting.
• Regulatory compliance and plan document knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management.
• Moderate autonomy with decision-making and escalation to management as needed.
• Experience coordinating with plan sponsors, financial advisors, and third-party admins.

Responsibilities

• Install standard/non-complex new transfer or start-up retirement plan sales.
• Act as primary contact during conversion process.
• Lead weekly conference calls with plan sponsors, advisors, third-party administrators and internal teams on timing, tasks and risks.
• Discuss service agreements and product features for suitability and comprehension of duties.
• Review plan provisions with plans electing internal compliance services for restatement of retirement documents.
• Coordinate the integration and mapping of payroll files/methods with the plan sponsor to Empower.
• Facilitate the transfer of plan assets and records across providers and internal departments.
• Maintain deadlines and timelines associated with transfer and startup activity.
• Produce quality work and handle other duties as assigned.
