Job summary

INTELASSIST INC. is seeking a Senior Retail Finance Controller to oversee all accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls across multi-location retail activities.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA license, has 5+ years in accounting/controllership, and hands-on experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks, including inventory accounting and budgeting.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial analysis to support strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed CPA or equivalent accounting license.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or controllership roles.
• Retail industry experience required.
• Strong experience with physical inventory accounting.
• Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP and QuickBooks.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams and multi-location retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have strong retail industry experience, including physical inventory management, and hands‑on expertise with NetSuite and QuickBooks.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Lead inventory accounting processes and reconcile physical inventory counts.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
• Coordinate audits and work directly with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth.

About you

• Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent accounting license.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or controllership roles.
• Proven experience working in the retail industry.
