Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• FRESH GRADUATE ARE WELCOME TO APPLY
• Ensures that all the rentals and consumables to be used are properly charged in accordance to Equilife lists of prices using correct charge slips.
• Ensures all the necessary rentals and consumables are well primed (well explained) to all relatives of the patients that includes properly signed Rental Agreements by the relative’s preferably immediate family member.
• Assist in Ventilator hooking and management e.g. Ventilator monitoring, Ventilator Weaning proper documentation of work, change consumables and round the clock ventilator/ patient rounds under supervision of RTRP.
• Assist in Initiating and Performs Oxygen, Aerosol and Lung expansion therapy under supervision of RTRP.
• Assist Carry out Diagnostic pulmonary procedures (ABG, PFT and PEFR) under supervision of RTRP.
• Assist in Performing Pulmonary Function Test, Forced Vital Capacity, Maximum Voluntary Ventilation and Slow Vital Capacity under supervision of RTRP.
• Assist in Instructing the patient on the procedure of Incentive Spirometry and Chest Physiotherapy under supervision of RTRP.
• Performs immediate hooking and troubleshooting of all other Equilife medical equipment (Pulse Oximeter, Infusion / Syringe Pump, Patient Monitor etc.)
• Decontamination and cleaning of ventilator and other medical equipment parts. 10. Does immediate machine calibration or user’s maintenance on all Equilife Equipment in the Hospital
• Creates endorsement of work to the next shift
• Releases and relays test results to doctors where needed
• Maintains stocks and supplies/materials needed for the day to day operation 14. Organizes logbook/ Folders with patients record to be kept for future reference 15. Attend refresher
• Must be a graduate of BS Respiratory Therapy
• Must pass the General Care Course (GCC).
• Must pass the 6 months probationary evaluation
