Job summary

SM Engineering Design and Development Corp. in Metro Manila seeks a Licensed Mechanical Engineer to lead facilities management, oversee MEPFS utilities, and coordinate maintenance for mall properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer designation is preferred.
• Experience in facilities management is required.
• Knowledge of MEPFS, BCMS, BMS and CMMS is an advantage.
• Willing to be assigned to MOA, Pasay or other mall branches in Metro Manila.

Responsibilities

• Manage service requests affecting mall utilities.
• Troubleshoot major equipment and MEPFS utilities.
• Assign staff to maintenance activities (lights, parts, leaks).
• Prepare government permit documentation.
• Coordinate with tenants, contractors and mall operators.
• Support incoming tenants on MEPFS concerns.
• Monitor environmental compliance (DENR, LLDA, CMR, CCG).
• Present energy savings data for the mall.

Job description

• Manages the service requests affecting mall utilities
• Conducts Basic troubleshooting of Major Equipment and MEPFS utilities
• Assigns personnel to execute maintenance activities (replacement of busted lights, installation of spare parts, de clogging, water leaks and etc.)
• Prepares the documentation required for Government Permits
• Submits reports required for Government Permits Validity including document application
• Evaluates and takes note of the tenant’s proposed construction plans based on SMEDD Standards through inspection
• Prepares provision on upgrading, conversion and relocation including coordination meeting with Tenant Relations Officer
• Provides support to the incoming tenant on all MEPFS concerns and queries
• Coordinates with third party contractors, mall operators for settlement of cases/issues, if any
• Monitors environmental compliance (SMR, DENR, LLDA, CMR and CCG)
• Prepares and presents the Mall's Energy Savings Data
• Participates in Safety Audits, with coordination to mall/store operations (Tenant Safety Audit (mall), BDOI, BCMS, Security Audits)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer
• With background in facilities management
