Job summary

SM Supermalls in Metro Manila is seeking a Facilities Engineering Supervisor to oversee the mall's MEPFS operations and maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.

You will manage contractors, conduct inspections, monitor energy use, review plans, and enforce safety standards, while supporting tenant coordination and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; professional license required.
• Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance or construction in a supervisory role.
• Experience with high-rise building operational equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MEPFS operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Manage contractors and projects including bidding, inspections, and monitoring to meet standards and timelines.
• Optimize utility performance by monitoring water and power usage and implementing corrections.
• Support tenant coordination by reviewing MEPFS plans and inspections.
• Promote safety and training by enforcing standards and enabling technical learning.

Job description

Responsible in the supervision of the mall's equipment operations in order to provide the necessary utilities for the operation of the mall. Involves planning and implementation of repairs, maintenance, and replacements of MEPFS equipment and the related systems for the safe and efficient operations of the mall. Ensures compliance of the Mall (establishment) in the standards set forth by the government agencies and local government units.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee MEPFS operations and maintenance to ensure all mall mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
• Manage contractors and projects by handling bidding, inspections, and progress monitoring to meet EDD standards and timelines.
• Ensure optimal utility performance through regular monitoring, analysis, and implementation of corrective measures on water and power consumption.
• Support tenant coordination by reviewing MEPFS plans, conducting inspections, and addressing technical service concerns.
• Promote safety and professional growth by enforcing safety standards and participating in continuous learning and technical training initiatives.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering - Professional License holder in the related field is required.
• Work experience in electro-mechanical maintenance and/or construction works in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
• With working experience in line with managing business facilities (high rise building operational equipment)
