Job summary

Frabelle Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented R&D professional to lead laboratory scale experiments and batch trials for new product development and reformulation. You will monitor stability tests and analyze data to establish product standards, while creating documentation, process flows, and packaging specifications.

You will benchmark competitor products and identify improvements across manufacturing processes, aiming for cost optimization and efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct laboratory scale run and batch trial run experiments.
• Experience in monitoring stability testing and product evaluation.
• Capability to analyze data and create technical reports.
• Experience with benchmarking and competitive analysis.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with SAP system as Material Master for Material Code Creation and Material Master Recipe.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Experience in document management and record keeping.
• Capability to conduct in-house trainings to other departments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory scale and batch trial run experiments of formulations provided by Technical Manager and/or R&D Head.
• Monitor actual batch trial runs on assigned new product development or reformulation projects.
• Monitor stability testing of products under developmental stage including Freeze Thaw Freeze Test, pH Monitoring, Sensory Evaluation and Microbiological Testing.
• Analyze data gathered during trial runs for establishment of standards.
• Create reports from data gathered from sensory evaluation and time and motion studies.
• Establish specifications from gathered information including standard pH, Salt, Brix.
• Create Manufacturing Process Flows and Packaging Specifications for new products.
• Conduct benchmarking on competitor products.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, cost optimization, and increased efficiency.
• Manage releasing, obsoletion and reproduction of documents under R&D Department and maintain safe keeping of R&D related documents.

About the role

This role involves conducting laboratory and batch trial run experiments, monitoring product development and reformulation activities, and analyzing data to establish product standards. The position encompasses new product development, alternative raw material and supplier evaluation, process improvement initiatives, and toller development, with responsibility for managing R&D documentation, laboratory operations, and cross-departmental coordination.
