Job summary

PYC Foods Corporation in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced R&D Officer/Manager to lead the development and improvement of food products, recipes, processes, and concepts. This role collaborates with suppliers, production, and operations to move ideas from concept to implementation while maintaining quality, consistency, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field is required.
• Experience in R&D, product development, recipe development, food manufacturing, or related field is required.
• Knowledge of food costing, recipe formulation/reformulation, sensory evaluation, HACCP, and GMP is preferred.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Good communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve recipes, products, and food concepts based on market trends and customer preferences.
• Conduct kitchen trials, product testing, sensory evaluation, and recipe scaling.
• Research ingredients, packaging, equipment, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Assist in recipe reformulation, ingredient substitution, food costing, and cost optimization.
• Prepare product specifications, process documentation, and other R&D-related reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers, production, QA, and operations for product implementation and improvement.
• Ensure developed products meet food safety, quality, and production standards.
• Support training and product implementation across relevant teams.
