Cloud Accountant Staffing - Careers is seeking a Tax Accountant or Tax Manager to own multi-entity return preparation and review for U.S. clients from the Philippines. You will prepare complex returns, craft planning memos, and ensure accurate workpapers with timely sign-offs.

You will mentor junior staff, help modernize compliance and advisory workflows, and operate during U.S. business hours from a PH-based location. This role offers full-time contractor engagement with strong USD compensation.

Qualifications

• U.S. tax knowledge and ability to prepare/review complex returns.
• Proficiency with tax software such as ProConnect, UltraTax, Drake, or Lacerte.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills including lookups and pivots.
• Clear written and spoken English for client-facing work.
• Comfort with U.S. business hours from a PH-based location.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-entity return preparation and review (1065/1120/1120-S).
• Prepare and review Individual returns (1040) with related forms.
• Develop planning memos, workpapers, and sign-offs.
• Explain elections and credits in plain English to clients.
• Support and mentor junior staff; manage notices and follow-ups.
• Join calls, summarize impacts, and deliver actionable takeaways.
