Cloud Accountant Staffing - Careers is seeking a US Tax Accountant or Tax Manager for the Philippines. This 100% remote, full-time independent contractor role focuses on complex tax return preparation and review for multi-entity entities, with opportunities for mentorship and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of U.S. tax experience and a strong grasp of federal/state rules, with English communication designed for client-facing interactions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of U.S. tax experience preparing and reviewing 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Strong command of U.S. federal and state tax rules; comfort with GAAP and IRS procedures
• Confident written and spoken English; client-facing presence

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review multi-entity returns (1065/1120/1120-S) and K-1s
• Develop planning memos and audit-ready workpapers
• Assist with notices and follow-through; communicate findings clearly
• Collaborate with U.S.-based teams and mentor junior staff
• Help modernize playbooks, checklists, and calendars
