Perle is seeking an Expert Audio Transcriber (Tagalog/Filipino) to convert native Tagalog audio into precise transcripts, following project style guides and speaker-label conventions.

You will handle Taglish code-switching, apply correct orthography, and work with diverse audio sources. This is a remote, contract/freelance opportunity in the Philippines, with a paid pilot task and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in Tagalog with deep Philippines ties.
• Strong English proficiency for Taglish code-switching.
• Mastery of Filipino orthography per Komisyon guidelines.
• At least 2 years of transcription experience.
• Experience in captioning, court reporting, or linguistic annotation.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned text following style guides.
• Apply conventions for speaker ID, overlaps, disfluencies, and non-speech events.
• Make orthographic decisions for dialects and code-switched speech.
• Flag ambiguous segments and quality issues; self-review submissions.
• Collaborate with QA on calibration and style updates.
