Job summary

Alignerr is seeking software engineers to join our remote AI coding evaluation team. This hourly contract role offers flexible, asynchronous work and a chance to influence how AI-generated code is written, reviewed, and improved.

You will assess AI-generated code across languages, provide structured feedback, and help design prompts to stress-test AI systems while working independently from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages and capable of reasoning about code with clarity.
• Experience reading, writing, and reasoning about complex codebases.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or not.
• Design coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on own schedule.
