Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in a fully remote, hourly contract role based for Manila. You will build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code, review AI outputs, and provide expert feedback to help AI coding assistants become smarter, safer, and more reliable.

You should be proficient in multiple languages and have a solid grasp of data structures and algorithms. Work asynchronously on your own schedule, with 10–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript, etc.).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Ability to read, write, and reason about code with clarity.
• Self-motivation and reliability for independent work.
• Excellent written communication to explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages, frameworks, and domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works — or doesn't.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule.
