Job summary

Talent Team Services seeks an experienced Software/Data Engineer for a permanent remote role in the Philippines. The role combines software and data engineering to build secure internal applications and scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong SQL, and hands-on expertise with Fabric, Azure, and GitHub workflows. You will work with a global mining client to deliver secure, scalable data solutions and analytics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a software or data engineer.
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse, OneLake, Power BI).
• Experience building and optimizing enterprise data pipelines and dimensional models.
• Proficient in Azure, including App Service, networking, Key Vault, and Entra ID.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD (GitHub Enterprise & GitHub Actions).
• Security best practices knowledge: identity, secrets, least-privilege access.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a senior engineering role while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Software Engineering: Build and maintain internal business apps using Node.js/Express and React on Azure App Service.
• Database work: Design PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and data access layers.
• Security: Implement authentication and secret management using Entra ID and Key Vault.
• CI/CD: Contribute to pipelines with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
• Data Engineering: Design and maintain data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and land data into OneLake.
• Data models: Implement medallion architecture and star schema dimensional models.
• Transformations: Develop data transformations using Fabric notebooks, dataflows, pipelines.
• Reporting: Support Power BI semantic models and datasets on Fabric/OneLake.
