Job summary

AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. seeks a Sr. Accountant - Revenue and Leasing Assurance to join remotely for a 6-month engagement, based in Pasig City. The role focuses on ASC 606/842 revenue and lease accounting, with SOX control support, SEC disclosures, and audit assistance.

The ideal candidate has a finance/accounting degree, 3+ years of relevant experience, and strong US GAAP/IFRS knowledge. CPA is a plus. Proficiency with Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, RevPro, Lucernex, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting is required or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; public accounting preferred.
• Prior experience in revenue and lease accounting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.
• CPA or equivalent credentials are a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, RevPro, Lucernex is a plus.
• MS Office Suite skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts for revenue accounting under ASC 606 and draft memos/writeups.
• Prepare journal entries for bad debt, sales allowances, and other revenue-related accounts.
• Prepare reconciliations for revenue GL accounts and resolve variances.
• Assist with SOX controls and ensure compliance.
• Prepare month-end reports including revenue reserves disclosures.
• Prepare ASC 606 disclosures for SEC reporting.
• Review lease contracts for ASC 842 and prepare related disclosures.
• Support external and internal audits with working papers.
• Handle ad hoc projects as needed.
