Synchrony Global Services Philippines, Inc. seeks a Manager, Controllership – Reconciliation (L08) to lead daily balancing, journal entries, and reconciliations across accounts, ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls. The role supports month-end close and reliable financial reporting.

The candidate will collaborate with internal teams, contribute to period-end reporting, and drive process improvements within controllership while maintaining governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or 3 years equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
• Strong attention to details and critical thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to manage multiple and varied priorities

Responsibilities

• Perform daily balancing activities to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting data.
• Prepare, review, and post manual journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations across assigned accounts and processes.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating issues when necessary.
• Support month-end and period-end reporting activities, including analysis of balances and variance review.
• Assist with accrual preparation and other general ledger activities to support accurate financial close.
• Partner with internal teams to gather information, validate transactions, and ensure accounting entries are properly supported.
• In addition to recurring accounting responsibilities, support ad hoc projects and process improvements.
