Job summary

Synchrony in Manila invites applications for the Manager, Controllership – Reconciliation (L08). This role anchors reconciliation, journal entries, and balance completeness to support accurate month-end close and financial reporting.

You will work with the controllership team to ensure data integrity and drive process improvements. The position offers hybrid work with in-person Connection Day at the Hub and periodic Town Hall/Meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 3 years equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Balance daily accounting data and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and post manual journal entries per policies.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting.
• Assist with accruals and general ledger activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to validate transactions.
