Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a seasoned software project manager to guide complex initiatives from kickoff to delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with clients, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and quality targets.

The role requires strong communication, Agile discipline, and a track record of delivering on fixed deadlines while balancing risks and budgets.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
Experience delivering against fixed deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths.
Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines).
Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, or similar).
Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives.
Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies.
Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams.
Ability to overlap US business hours.
PMP, CSM, or PSM certification.
Experience on projects with regulatory or compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage software development projects end-to-end across multiple streams.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with client expectations.
Maintain risk, issue, and change-control processes; track budgets and resources.
Provide regular client-facing status updates and milestone reporting.
Ensure compliance with regulatory or contractual deadlines and quality standards.
Foster a collaborative, growth-minded team environment across nearshore/offshore delivery.
