Job summary

Ehvert Mission Critical, a unit within Salas O’Brien, is seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer for a long-term independent contractor engagement in the Philippines with remote work options. You will support the design, modeling, and coordination of plumbing systems for cutting-edge data center projects based in the U.S.

Responsibilities include developing layouts and BIM models, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and producing technical drawings and calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in plumbing design.
• Proven experience designing and modeling plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM models.

Responsibilities

• Model plumbing systems in BIM and coordinate with other disciplines; hands-on Autodesk Revit experience is a must.
• Develop plumbing system layouts and detailed designs for mission-critical facilities.
• Design and model domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and other plumbing systems.
• Develop plumbing piping layouts, equipment connections, riser diagrams, and system schematics.
• Perform plumbing calculations and support equipment and piping sizing.
• Produce coordinated BIM models and construction drawings.
• Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
• Occasionally visit sites to support construction progress.
