Emapta is seeking a seasoned Pen Test Engineer to strengthen cybersecurity for customers worldwide. You will lead offensive security engagements, including web apps and APIs, leveraging AI-assisted testing, and mentoring junior testers.

Collaboration with client DevOps teams will drive secure coding practices and robust remediation strategies. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, adherence to OWASP standards, and maintaining clear reporting for executives and engineers alike.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of offensive security with hands-on testing of web apps and APIs (REST & GraphQL).
• Proven experience using AI tools for reconnaissance, code review, and reporting, with validation of findings.
• Strong command of OWASP Top 10, API Security Top 10, CWE, and modern auth/vulns.
• Experience with automated and manual testing tools: Burp Suite Pro, Metasploit, Nmap, ffuf.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• CI/CD DevSecOps security controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage customer penetration tests focusing on web apps and APIs.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to identify security flaws and exploitation paths.
• Define scopes, rules of engagement, timelines, and success criteria with customers.
• Apply AI and LLM tools to accelerate reconnaissance and reporting, validating findings before sharing.
• Test AI-enabled applications for prompt injection, data leakage, and insecure outputs.
• Provide remediation guidance and collaborate with client DevOps/engineering for secure coding practices.
• Mentor junior testers and ensure high-quality deliverables.
